Sketchnoting and Books

Stay tuned for the release date for my new book, due Nov. 13, 2018. Click here if you want to be notified when the book is ready to order.

Book description:

Sketchnoting, or visual note-taking, is an effective and fun way to take notes using doodles and text. This book was designed with teachers and students in mind to begin sketchnoting in the classroom. Sylvia will guide you through many scaffolded activities to take you and your students from a “But I’m not an artist” mentality to “Hey, I can sketchnote!”

Included in the book are many links to how-to-draw videos and access to an online databank of sketchnoting icons. This book is a go-to resource for anyone interested in learning how to take notes in a creative and meaningful way.

Many people ask me how I create these drawings. I draw on the iPad with Procreate app and the Musemee Notier Prime Stylus (If you buy one, make sure to get extra replacement tips as well). Click here and here for a tutorials on how to use the Procreate app (Thanks, Karen Bosch!)
